Method

Mandje only compares products that are sold at several supermarkets in exactly the same form. For each such product we check which chain has the lowest price; if two chains tie, both get a point. The percentage is the share of comparisons a chain wins, and n is the number of products that percentage rests on. The figures are recalculated every night. Aldi, Lidl and Ekoplaza mostly sell own brands that no other chain carries, so they cannot be compared. The current standing and the full method are on the price index page.
